What type of counseling do you offer?
We offer biblically based discipleship counseling with the exchanged life as its foundation. We see counselee’s with all types of issues ranging from depression, anger, addiction, relational conflicts, past abuse, marital problems, grief, suicidal thoughts, as well as, someone desiring a deeper walk with God.
Do you offer pre-marital counseling?
Yes, our program consists of taking a detailed history of each person, structuring coping mechanisms and helping the individual work through any past hurts and issues before they enter the marriage. We also teach the couple their true identity in Christ and how to view their upcoming spouse as God views them. We also will discuss what to do with expectations, how to forgiveness, marital roles, sexual issues and financial issues. It is our recommendation for each couple to set up your pre-marriage counseling at least 6 months prior to your wedding. The counseling process will take approximately 4 or 5 two hour sessions.
What is your policy on confidentiality?
Every session is totally confidential. It is important for the counselee to feel safe and to experience an atmosphere of trust. It is communicated on the first visit that the only time confidentially can be broken is when a person’s life is at state. If there is a threat to harm one’s self or someone else, the confidentially policy can be broken. The proper authorities or family members will be contacted.
